About
THE GEOGRAPHY OF SILENCE
Before the dancer enters, the space itself must be consecrated. The architecture of the temple—with its low tiled roofs, heavy stone pillars, and silent corridors—is designed to contain the explosive energy of the deity.
The Bones of the Earth Whether it is a monastery clinging to a Himalayan cliff or a stone shrine reflecting in a silent pool, the Sanctum is where the earth meets the ether. These images capture the stage before the play, the heavy silence that holds the weight of centuries.
